A Potpourri Of Progress

This is a random collection of pictures this week and it all starts with the new bathroom linoleum pictured below.



Our handrailing is now up as well. This is a shot of the handrailing for the upper half of the stairs.



A step was built in now to get to the storage area.

The cabinet maker finished the cabinet and vanity this week as well. This is the cabinet that will be mounted above the toilet. Stacked next to it are the frames for the vanity mirrors.



This is a shot of our vanity. There was a minor catastophy when it was realized that the vanity wasn't going to line up with where the sconces were wired to be and therefore the mirrors that fit in between them. However, we decided to juggle where the sconces are located so that the mirrors could line up with the vanity instead of rebuilding a different vanity.

All The Trimmings

We now have millwork around the windows and doors and the baseboards are well on their way. Never thought I'd post a blog with just pictures of doors and think that was exciting but here it is. This is the door into the closet next to the stairs.

Getting There

There was a lot of visible progress that happened this week. Our dry wall is completely put up, mudded, and texturized. Our top deck now almost has a complete floor. Most of the siding around our new windows has been put up. We have a nice hardwood hallway floor. And our kitchen pantry is now complete with new shelves and a chase around the large air intake vent (but those pictures will have to wait until I can get before, after, and really after pictures once it's all been put back together).
